Modern interior decorating

Modern interior decorating can take on many shapes and forms. In the modern world of design there are new and exciting looks being created all the time. No two designs are alike and each should reflect the personality of the owner of the home. However, in some cases people want to try something different. They want to step outside of the box and look back over the years and centuries and attempt to recreate an interior design like no other.  

Today there are many different ways of doing modern interior decorating. There are different categories of modern designs that people might want to draw upon when trying to find the perfect one for them. Here are just a few with a brief explanation for each. 

1. Eclectic – This is style that is used a great deal. It isn’t just one style but is in fact a combination of many styles all rolled into one. For this type of modern interior decorating you just pick things that you like and place them in your room.

2. Art Deco – This form of modern design is rooted in 20’s and 30’s. In this style the lines are elegant and angular.  The colors used were bright and vibrant.

3. Whimsical – This type of modern interior decorating is light and fanciful. The colors are bright and there is no set pattern for the way the room should be decorated. Pastel colors are used most often in this style.
